"Oh man, all that work painting down the tubes 'cause Beavis and Butthead up there don't know how to keep a story straight," Dakota muttered as the squad began moving into the structure.

"We'll worry about it later," Clint said. "Right now we've got about thirty seconds before we go in. Leola, you and I go in first. Jimmy and Dakota in after us."

Combat inside the building would undoubtedly be close-quarters and the Dark Falcons had prepared with Sword and Launcher Strikers equipped with each member bringing a beam rifle. Clint watched the demolitions experts prepare to blow an entrance into the facility for the power armor squads to enter through, starting with the Slaughter Daggers. Their armored vehicle was parked nearby, ready to swap out mission packs at a moment's notice while two unarmored foot soldiers stood watch.

"And keep an ear out for that tank," Clint added. "Last thing we need is for those damn mercs to drop the roof on our heads."

Jimmy and Dakota crouched, aiming their large beam cannons towards the breeching point while Leola held her large sword with both hands. They were as ready to enter as they would ever be, Clint reckoned.

"Falcons, this is Control," their truck driver said. "We'll keep watch over the rich kids and the road warriors. The mall cops are still peeved at us, but I've just received word that we can still trust them not to slam a knife in your side."

"Roger that, Control," Clint answered back. "Here we go..."

Simon swore violently under his breath as he heard the explosion and the shout of freeze, instinctively turning the Mirage Colloid back on.

"At least the cops can be counted on being nice and flashy to warn me that they're coming in." He muttered, looking down at the scene before realizing that, for once, he wasn't the intended target.

Now, it might have been a real bit of hard luck for the guy but law enforcement would usually calm down once they had the guy and finished their sweep. As long as Mirage Colloid held out that long, and if he stuck to the shadows when it strictly wasn't needed he would be fine.

The thought turned less comforting as other teams began to break through, including people who weren't official lawmen. At this point, this left his options as to try to go outside and hope that people weren't trying to blow their way in as he was trying to go out OR he headed deeper into the facility than the others would go, as they would have to search and sweep the area as he had done...especially with the other Rouge unintentionally running interference for him.

In the end the choice was an easy one as he fired his grappling hook and hurried to the main part of the facility where he could hopefully find someone or something interesting.

Hiromi

"You sure about this Ian?"

"Relax Hiro, I've already cleared it."

The squad was stacked up near an entrance a short distance away from the main Police entry point. It had been Ian's idea to delay their entry by a minute, allowing the main force to attract attention, allowing them to take a different point of entry. JP had supported it, and so had the Captain in charge of the joint operation. This approach would allow them to flank any potential hostiles the main force met in addition in cutting down one possible point of escape. Hiromi had his doubts, as there were a lot of unknowns for this whole operation to begin with(for one no one seemed to have a clear ultimate objective yet) without adding more, however he reminded himself of Ian's military training, some of the instincts he'd developed then had never truly faded, thats why he was team leader. Plus Hiro had known him for years, and trusted him pretty well.

"Execution time boss, lets get to it," JP said.

Wordlessly he sliced the lock cleanly in half with a beam saber, and pushed in. They quickly stormed the room beyond, a lobby by the look of it, careful to move as quickly and quietly as possible. Their sensors were doing their job and they cleared the room in seconds. Motion sensors were detecting movement from ahead, however it was anyone's guess where they were coming from, as no one had building layouts. They quickly moved into the hallway. JP and Ian took point, Sabers out, they'd been MS pilots longest, and while Hiromi was already pulling even with JP in Synch rate he still didn't have the pure experience in close quarters combat that JP or Ian did. He and Amber hung back slightly ready to provide ranged support, their large Beam Rifles at the ready.

"Stay sharp everyone," Ian said, "my gut tells me thing'll get interesting sooner rather than later..."

With those words he smoothly pushed open the door in front of them and they rushed further into the complex.

Kristal Hawkins in the Quin Mantha
Rangers

"Are... are you sure sir?"

Kristal Hawkins pleaded softly with her CO as the hulking Quin Mantha Armor folded out over her bodysuit, increasing her height and weight a great deal, the idea of something that big being tentative comical.

"You can't use that 'I'm a greenhorn' excuse on me anymore, you have to get started sometime... there's only so many training exercises and simulations you can experience before you can't advance anymore as a soldier." The gruff voice muttered softly in her earpiece as she stepped heavily out of the transport, the suspension groaning as it lifts back into place. "You have one of the heaviest armed, armored, and shielded units at our disposal, and support here, you'll be fine."

Knowing at this point there was no arguing it, and she began powering up her external systems, the I-field humming soothingly as she stepped into the building. Foregoing any measure of stealth, the heavy metallic thud of each step brought her a little more courage. Her breathing slows as the strong emotions emanating from the soldiers caught within the building conflict stimulates her newtype senses.

After a few moments of gaining her bearings and confidence, she starts towards the nearest friendly on her HUD.

Klein held his beam rifle to the unknown rogue. It wasn't the Bertigo clone or the other Victory, but this man was still dangerous, and still under arrest.

"Do me a favor and come quietly, sure it's possible that you could escape the six of us, but think of the odds that you'll run into the next room and find it full of Knights or USMP." He said, noting the constant radio chatter from the Law Enforcement temporary command center outside. It seemed everyone was looking for something in this place, but this wasn't the rogue Lucas was out to find.

"Now, personally I think you're lucky we found ya, cause the Knights and the Army? They'd just kill ya. So howabout you lose the armor and we talk about this somewhere a little safer?"

Despite the appearance of allies and transport to the facility in question. Apollo still did not know the objective of the mission at hand. Observation and information gathering would be premium.

"Listen up, we are going in pretty blind here." Apollo said as the other Knight troops gathered around him. "We know other organizations and rogues have appeared but no idea why." The power armor around Apollo began to form and lock in place. "As such keep to the shadows and observe the enemy. Only act if attacked directly or situation proves beneficial to you. Keep in close contact." As the last piece locked in place the red eyes of the Reborns Gundam lit up. "Move out." With his word the other Knights split up and moved further into the facility to get an idea of what was going on. After everyone left, Apollo locked up the line breaker and proceeded into the facility. In order to better conceal himself Apollo adjusted the amount of GN particles produced for flight to be focused on strengthening the beam weaponry and armor of the Reborns Gundam.

Keeping his back turned and the cloak around his body, it kept Wild's arms out of view of the Law Enforcement officers. Moving his hands to combine the Zanbuster, Wild turned his head to look back at the one who spoke. "Sorry, but I'll take my chances with the Knights and Military," Wild states, refusing outright the offer to deactivate his armor.

Turning around, the targeting sensor deployed over his right eye as he fired above their heads to cause some debris to fall above their heads. Using the quick opportunity to take cover at a nearby desk, Wild groaned at his next course of action. Ripping off the beam shield emitter on the left arm, Wild quickly searched through the IFF codes, hoping he still had the old Ranger codes. "I'm an ex-Ranger damnit!" Wild yells out as he goes through the IFF codes and transmits the last code he had from two years ago. If this didn't work, he was going to fight the hard way back.

"Ugh never the easy way!" Lucas complained as he ran full tilt in the direction the rogue seemed to escape in. He switched his sensors through the various thermal, motion-sensing-overlay, and signal-wave-tracing modes, but came up dry on all attempts. His futile search led him deeper into the compound, and after a while he began to search for evidence as well as the rogue he was after.

It was obvious someone had ransacked the place before the signal was set, removing most of the valuable evidence, but Klein was beginning to notice something odd.

"This stuff's too neat, someone already searched here...." He thought, noting that the papers he was looking through had been sorted as though someone had already picked them up searching for information. "...I should look further in, there's nothing left that can help us figure anything out around here."

Cautiously, Lucas made his way further from his allies, and deeper into the unknown labrynth of the compound.

A few moments later...

Kristal froze mid-step in her advance, a new Ranger signal coming up on her HUD out of seemingly nowhere, she felt the hair prickle on the back of her neck... it wasn't unheard of for armors to be outfitted with stealth technology, but to not show up on friendly sensors... possible.

The Quin Mantha's heavy footfalls announce it's approach, funnels hovering ominously in formation behind it as she checks around corners, her trigger finger itching, until she finally locates Wild.

"I'm so happy I found another Ranger... I didn't think I could do this alone." She breathes a sigh of relief. "Is there any way I can help?" Comes the young, hopeful voice, looking for little more instruction, before warily peering down each corridor leading to this meeting place.

The Dark Falcons moved quickly through the facility with a squad of soldiers behind them, grabbing every portable document, memory device, and small computer that wasn't bolted down. When necessary, one of the Slaughter Daggers would plug into an access port to download and transmit data to the troops waiting outside. So far, progress had been steady; the USMP had yet to encounter any of the other groups that were infiltrating the facilities from other directions.

"Sir, one of our sentry groups is reporting shots fired elsewhere in the facility," one of the foot soldiers reported to Clint.

"Any idea who's shooting?" Clint asked, turning away from watching a download in progress.

"Negative. All we know is they're using beam weapons," the soldier answered. "I advised them to hold position since we didn't bring any heavy weapons in."

"No heavy weapons but us," Clint corrected. "Falcons, we're doing a recon. Dakota, stay here and guard the recovery operation."

One of the Launcher-equipped Daggers nodded and raised its beam rifle, watching over the unarmored troops. Clint led Leola and Jimmy down a hallway, marking possible points for recovery as they neared the sentry team that had reported the shooting.

"Glad to see you, sir," one of them said. "We don't have enough firepower to deal with a lot of Power Armors."

"Just watch our backs," Clint advised. "We won't be long."

The three Armors moved slowly down the hall, keeping their scanners on the lookout for other Armors. Jimmy's cannon was held steady with its barrel aimed down the hall, ready to fire at a moment's notice while Clint and Leola prepared for a close-quarters battle.

"What happens if we really do run into a huge battle?" Leola asked privately.

"Same as always: follow my lead," Clint answered. "I'll figure out who to shoot first."
